Der ICQ-Kampf geht in die n�chste Runde

Letztens hab ich noch geschrieben, dass ICQ zwar nicht toll, aber auch längst nicht so böse ist wie alle tun, da entfachte gerad im IRC ne Diskussion über eine angebliche Mail von ICQ mit folgendem Wortlaut:
Nen Header zu der Mail gabs nat�rlich genauso wenig wie Einsicht dar�ber, dass sie mit so ner Aktion gegen die eigenen AGB versto�en w�rden.. Aber hauptsache, man hat was zu meckern.
Irgendwann sollte doch mal jemand nen Kursus "Recht f�r Anf�nger und Opensource-Anh�nger" ins Leben rufen. Kritisches Denken in allen Ehren, aber doch nicht unbedingt mit dem Holzhammer.
Aber man konnte die Mail ja online nachlesen und alles was im Indernett steht, das ist wahr.
Dear ICQ User,
we are forced by law, to watch all communications over the ICQ-network.
This covers all messages, which are sent by the ICQ-Program over the
ICQ-servers and all messages in ICQ-chatrooms.
This is not a special ICQ-issue. MSN and Yahoo! have to do the same.
In this mail we inform you, what this means for you as an ICQ-user.
We are not happy to watch your communication, because it is your private
communication and we will have a lot of additional costs for hardware,
software and disk space, which is needed to observe you.
So we encourage you, not to talk about any illegal topics over the
ICQ-network. If you do so, this will only cause trouble for you and us.
From now on, we have to report every communication about illegal topics.
This includes, but is not limited to:
-terrorism
-child pornography
-warez (illegal software)
-pirated movies and music
This will be done with a wordfilter and regular random checks.
The wordfilter matches words like "warez", "hacker" and "porn" and of
course the titles of often pirated files.
The random checks are done by an employee,
who grabs random messages, and checks them for illegal content.
If you do not agree with this, please remove your UIN from the
ICQ-network, and uninstall your ICQ-software.
If you further use ICQ, you agree that we may read your messages and
report messages about illegal topics.
